Let us introduce you to: Daddy the Driver Who Drives
Scott is The Driver, Mechanic, Gear Guide and Builder. He has designed and built 2 Mercedes Sprinter Camper Vans. Which we’re currently living in the second one. He loves numbers and calculating EVERYTHING. Gas mileage, distance, he’s always running some kind of numbers through his genius mind. (Yes, babe, you’re a genius)
Actually, we built it together, Keri and Myself. She always says I did it all, but it was always us together. She was always right there by my side. Except for the electrical… I did do all of that.
I just enjoy being outside. I am stoked to be with the family full time. I love national parks, and am really excited to visit more of them and go to Alaska. Moving into the van has allowed me to focus on what is important in life.
HIS INTERVIEW:
WHAT I GAVE UP FOR FULL TIME TRAVEL: Material possessions. Giving up items I could have purchased that would have brought me joy like tools to work on stuff and make the van build better. I had to refuse and turn down a lot while saving and planning for the trip. I had to really think about my needs instead of wants while preparing. However, the further away I am from them the more I realize they don’t even matter. Now, I don’t feel like I had to give up much.
